Harry Gottschalk, born on 16 Apr. 1886 in Hamburg, died in the Dachau concentration camp on 2 Sept. 1942

last residential address: Steindamm 12

Harry Gottschalk was a member of the Hamburg Jewish Community. Until 1938, he operated a practice for "Psychology-Life Training” ("Psychologie-Lebensschulung”). In the Jewish religious tax (Kultussteuer) card file of the Community, his occupation is paraphrased with "treater of the sick” ("Krankenbehandler”), a term stipulated by the Nazis. He was arrested in 1938 and initially committed to the Fuhlsbüttel concentration camp. From there, he was transferred to the Dachau concentration camp, where he perished on 2 Sept. 1942.
