Magda Levy, born 08/18/1879 in Glückstadt, deported to Riga 12/06/1941

The skilled bookkeeper lived as a sub-tenant in a room of the Jewish family Sohn’s apartment at Isestrasse 21, for which she paid 35 RM rent per month. She drew a small pension. The balance of a savings account, 3,750 RM, had been transferred to a "security account” with limited rights of disposition. Besides the rent for her room, the calculation of her monthly allowance included 120 RM for her livelihood and 25 RM for health insurance, mending her clothing and batteries for her hearing-aid. Thus, Magda Levy could dispose of 180 RM from her account per month. On December 6th, 1941, she followed the deportation order to Riga. She was 61 years old.
