Gertrud Jacobsohn, née Wolff, born on 23 Feb. 1884 in Hamburg, deported on 18 Nov. 1941 to Minsk
Eppendorfer Landstrasse 24
Concerning Gertrud Jacobsohn, only few data are available, noted by the Hamburg Jewish Community in the Jewish religious tax (Kultussteuer) card file. According to this, she was born as Gertrud Wolff in Hamburg in 1884. Her parents were Nathan Wolff and Henriette, née Weinberg.
When Gertrud Jacobsohn was registered by the [Orthodox] Synagogue Association (Synagogenverband) in 1924, she was already widowed. She lived as a subtenant with the Heicke family at Eppendorfer Landstrasse 24 on the third floor. She listed as her employer a man by the name of Harry Grezyer. Her income was so low that the Community assessed her to pay monthly contributions between 1 and 2 RM (reichsmark). This was equivalent to an income of 150 RM a month, a sum suggesting that she had no specialized vocational training. Between 1937 and 1939, her income rose slightly. However, in 1941, it decreased to approx. 100 RM.
On 18 Nov. 1941, Gertrud Jacobsohn was deported to the Minsk Ghetto. The date of her death is not known.
