Martin Bernstein, born on 27 Apr. 1896 in Berlin, deported on 8 Apr. 1943 to Auschwitz, murdered there on 26 July 1943

Martin Bernstein worked as a grain broker. He was married to the native of Holzweissig in Saxony, Marta, née Nobest, according to the entry on the Jewish religious tax (Kultussteuer) card "Protest. Aryan” ("ev. arisch”). The couple lived at Semperstraße 71 and at Glindweg 26; in Apr. 1936 they moved to Poppenbüttel, and as of 1940, they had to relocate to the Grindelviertel neighborhood. Initially detained at the Fuhlsbüttel concentration camp in 1943, Martin Bernstein was transported to Auschwitz on 8 Apr. 1943. He was murdered there on 26 July 1943.
