Wolodimir Patrowskij, born 14. 8.1944 Hamburg, deceased 5.9.1944 Hamburg
Redingskamp 89 (Eidelstedt)
Former Reichsbahnlager Eidelstedt - Bankstraße
Wolodimir Patrovsky's parents, Iraida, née Roslyakova, born on August 17, 1923 in Buskinaki/Leningrad, and Oleg Patrovsky, were of the Greek Catholic Orthodox faith.
Deported from their native Russia, they were forced to perform forced labour in Hamburg-Eidelstedt for the Kleine Wohnungsbaugesellschaft, the Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft für Reichsbahnbedienstete mbH. They were sent to the Reichsbahn "Bankstraße" camp (now Redingskamp).
Iraida gave birth to her son Wolodimir there. Wolodomir had to spend the short time of his life in this camp. The food and living conditions were completely inadequate for him. The entry "Aryan" in his alien registration card indicates that his mother had undergone a "race test".
Two weeks after his birth, Iraida Patrovskaya was admitted to Langenhorn General Hospital with her son as an "accompanying child" on August 29, 1944 with "mastitis" (inflammation of the breast).
After seven days, Wolodimir died there on September 5, 1944 at 4:30 pm. The hospital's death notice gave "weakness of life" as the cause of death and Blumenthal as the doctor who signed it.
Wolodimir was 3 weeks and 1 day old.
Seven days after his death, his burial took place on September 12,1944 at Ohlsdorf cemetery, grave location: Q 39, row 6, no. 25. His grave is no longer preserved. At the end of 1959, it was levelled together with at least 146 graves of the children of forced labourers in area Q 39.
After the death of her son, Iraida Patrovskaya remained in hospital for another six weeks. On October 18, 1944, she was transferred back to the Eidelstedt camp, where she continued to perform forced labour for the Kleine Wohnungsbaugesellschaft.
