Julius Lefebre’s parents were Heymann and Rosa, née Kolath, Lefebre. Julius was born in Zicker on Rügen. From his eight siblings four died in their childhood. His father was born in Bärwalde, his mother came from Flatow.
Julius Lefebre’s wife Aurelie was the daughter of Elias and Rosalie, née Conitzer, Lewinsky. She was born in Graudenz in Western Pomerania, present-day Grudziadz, Poland. Julius and Aurelie’s son Horst was born in Hamburg in 1921.

Julius Lefebre was a businessman. His business address was Süderstraße 29. The family lived near this address, at the former Lorenzstraße 29, before they moved to Eppendorfer Weg in Hoheluft-West. Horst apprenticed at the Isaac Levysohn company, which traded in bristles, at Mühlenstraße 42. It was probably a Jewish business. Horst Lefebre lived with his parents.

In the early 1940s, the family had a lodger, Josef Katzenellenbogen (*1898). He was deported to Minsk on 8 November 1941, shortly after the Lefebre family was deported to Lodz. He was a typesetter, and had previously lived on Habichtstraße.

In Lodz, the family lived in Apartment 27 at Sigfriedstraße 2. If and where the family members worked is unknown. All of them were sent to Chelmno and murdered on 10 May 1942.

The Memorial Book of the Federal Archive of Germany also lists an Albert Lefebre, who was born on 9 August 1889 in Zicker. He was Julius Lefebre’s brother. There are Stolpersteine for Albert Lefebre and his wife Klara, née Schlochauer, who was originally from Pasewalk, on Baustraße in Pasewalk. Both of them were deported from Stettin to the Piaski Ghetto on 12 February 1940. There were regular prisoner transports from Piaski to the Belzec Extermination Camp.
