Rosa Samson was married to the banker Max Jacob Samson (born on 14 Aug. 1881 in Norden). They had three children: Erika Margot (born on 24 Oct. 1911, married name Graetz), who emigrated to Britain in the Nazi period; Leonie (born on 18 Aug. 1913, married name Hesse), on which no further information is available; and Rudolf Hans, who emigrated with his parents to the Netherlands in the 1930s. Max Jacob Samson died there of appendicitis in 1938. Rosa Samson was deported to Auschwitz and murdered there on 13 Oct. 1942. The date of death documented for their son is 25 June 1942 at an unknown location in Poland.
