Rosa Dallmann, born on 6 Nov. 1880 in Breslau, deported on 25 Oct. 1941 to Lodz

Rosa Dallmann was born in Breslau (today Wroclaw in Poland) as the daughter of Josef and Johanna Dallmann, née Schlesinger. She was unmarried and worked as a sales assistant. In 1929, she joined the Jewish Community but was not assessed for taxes, probably because she earned only a modest income. Since 1934, she was unemployed or, respectively, did not have a permanent job. In 1941, she received a small pension and was supported by relatives on top of that.

She moved so many times that the address field on her file card for Jewish religious taxes (Kultussteuer) had to be glued over. As a result, some of her addresses cannot be reconstructed, and the same applies to whether or not and when she lived in Isestrasse. Her last address, from which she was forced to go on the first large-scale deportation transport to Lodz, was Ostmarkstrasse (today once again Hallerstrasse) 64 with Picard.
