Senta Schwarz, born on 14 Sept. 1901, deported on 25 Oct. 1941 to Lodz.

Senta’s parents, Jacob and Helene Schwarz, née Edinger, owned a school supplies store located at Elbstrasse 60. One year after Senta Schwarz, her brother Max was born. The father died in 1916 or 1917. The mother continued to operate the business on her own. Senta spent her childhood at Neuer Steinweg 15. Later, she worked as a domestic help at Isestrasse 86 with Mitz until Aug. 1941. Three months later, she was forced to board the train to Lodz.

Her mother Helene had moved to Glindweg 28. From there, she was deported to Riga on 6 Dec. 1941.

Senta Schwarz’ brother Max, who had moved away from Hamburg in 1926, was deported from Frankfurt to Auschwitz in 1942.
