Olga was born the daughter of the merchant Siegmund Salomon, born in Ludwigslust in 1825, and his second wife Caroline, née Baruch born in Altona in 1841. She married the merchant Lehmann (Leo) Schey. The couple lived at Eppendorfer Weg 158 in secure financial circumstances.

Following the death of her husband, Olga lived alone in their apartment for several years and in 1932 applied for an apartment at the Vaterstädtische Foundation, where she reported her monthly income as 630 Reichsmarks (RM). On 1 May 1935, she was able to move into the small apartment no. 4 in the Rosenthal-Altenhaus at Kielortalless 23 for which she paid 4 RM monthly. After the Vaterstädtische Foundation was "Aryanized”, in Mar. 1939 she had to move into the building of the Warburg Foundation at Bundesstraße 43, apartment no. 18, which had been made into a "Jewish house”. She was deported from there to Theresienstadt where she died three months later.
