Rosa was married to Ludwig Lion. The couple had a son, Paul Gerhard, born October 21st, 1910. Paul Gerhard Lion managed to emigrate to the USA. After the death of her husband in 1937, Rosa Lion moved to join her family at Grindelallee 9. Her last Hamburg address was Isestrasse 93, with the Margulies family. Originally, her name was not on the list for deportation to Lodz, but on the waiting list (which had been compiled to fill possible vacancies on the list due to deferrals. In the ghetto, she lived at Hanseatenstrasse 42, apartment 17.
