Ida Fränkel, née Rosenberg, born 6 Mar. 1871 in Posen, deported 15 July 1942 to Theresienstadt, died there 2 Sep. 1942

Ida Fränkel was the widow of Max Fränkel (1839-1914), who owned a company that imported tanning agents. Before Ida Fränkel moved to rooms with the Warisch family on Isestraße, she lived with her family in an apartment at Brahmsallee 13. In 1939 she moved out of the rooms on Isestraße, and, after two more moves, was finally housed in the "Jews’ house” at Frickstraße 24. From here she was deported to Thereseinstadt on 15 July 1942, where she died six weeks later.

Ida and Max Fränkel had two daughters, Hertha (*1896) and Edith (*1899). Nothing is known about Hertha, but Edith married and was able to emigrate to the US.
